We have a national organization there with regional directors to carry out all of our plans. We are working with regional Hamar tribe governing body to open ten schools which have been closed due to food shortage and malnutrition. The cattle are their main source of living and we are feeding them also. We send trucks with cooking oil, maize rice, and more for emergency relief from starvation. We have about 500 children there from kindergarten to grade eight. We have also brought in about 150 orphans and very poor children from the inner city to live there throughout their education. We built two large dormitories as well as a clinic there. We have a 5-acre farm with animal husbandry program and even fish ponds. In the near future, we will start construction on a trade school for many young people to learn computers sewing, engineering, carpentry, and more.
